Teresa Evette Jones, 51, transitioned on Nov. 30, 2022, at home in Perry. Teresa was born July 20, 1971, to Curley Jones Jr. and Mary Ann Jones in Gainesville. She was raised and nurtured in a loving Christian home. She was taught to love and reverence God, who was her anchor. Teresa grew up in Perry, graduating from Taylor County High School, confessed Christ as her personal savior at an early age, was a member of Stewart Memorial AME Church and employed with Tom’s Food, Lance and Super-Puftt Snacks. She left an indelible mark on the lives of the people she loved, and will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by: her father, Curley Jones Jr., nephews; De’onte King and Rashed Simmons; and other family members, Major “Buddy” Johnson, Curley Jones, Ella Mae Johnson and Sermancier Jones, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Keondra Abercrumbie (Cameron Jackson) and Karissa Hamm; grandson, Mi’sun Jackson; mother, Mary A. Jones; her fiancé, Carl Hamm; brothers, Maurice Jones (Jaime Lynch), Curtis Jones (Annie Jones), Aundra Jones, Sedrick Jones (Ashley Jones) and Kendrick Nelson; sisters, Tina Jones, Barbara Bellamy (Amos Bellamy), Angela Jones, Samantha Barnes, Cassandra Scott and Tameria Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 9, from 4-6 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Forest Capital Hall. Interment will be held at Springhill Hill Cemetery
