Nita Joyce Faircloth, 66, passed away on Dec. 5, 2022, in Gainesville, with her husband and children by her side.
She was born April 16, 1956 in Dallas, Texas, to Jerry Anthony Alvey and Sudie Mae Hicks.
Nita was a Christian and a member of Ash Street Church of Christ.
She was a longtime bank teller with First Union here in Perry.
Nita never met a stranger, if you needed something and she could help, you would be taken care of. She was loving wife, a devoted mother, and one of the best Granny’s ever.
She is going to be missed by all those who loved her.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Nelda Alvey and Sudie Mae Hicks.
She is survived by: her husband of 37 years, Marvin Faircloth; her children, Theresa (Guy) Folsom, Leslie (Allen) Dean, Felicia Faircloth and Ryan (Brandy) Faircloth; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as a well as a host of other family and dear friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at Ash Street Church of Christ with Brothe Theo Elam officiating.
Per Nita’s request, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
