Despite hearing the “good news” that 97.7% of the City of Perry’s water utility assets are rated “fair” or better, the city’s two newest council members criticized city staff about the condition of approximately 100 fire hydrants, as well as other maintenance issues detailed in a report on the condition of the city’s water facilities at a Dec. 13 meeting.
