Building dept. setting record in RV permits

Editor’s Note: At the Taylor County Commission’s Nov. 28 meeting, county department heads joined County Administrator LaWanda Pemberton in presenting the annual “State of the County” address, providing the board – and public – an update on operations over the past year, as well as plans and goals for 2023. Below is the first in a planned series of articles presenting information about the services being provided to the residents and visitors of Taylor County.

Taylor County consists of 670,683 acres, and except for the 5,991 acres that make up the City of Perry, any new development in the county goes through the Taylor County Building and Planning Department.
