Nancy Luan Slaughter, 78, passed away on Jan. 14, 2023, in Perry.
Luan was born March 7, 1944, in Perry to Branson Roland Fisher and Nancy Heard Fisher.
She was of the Episcopal faith and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
She worked with the State of Florida as a legal secretary with various judges and State Attorney’S Office, for more than 37 years.
Luan was preceded in death by: her parents, Branson Roland Fisher and Nancy Heard Fisher; her husband of 58 years, Jimmy Slaughter; her brother, Branson R. Fisher Jr.; and also a dear friend, Phyllis Bishop.
She is survived by: her two sons, Kevin and his wife, Holli Slaughter, and Brett Slaughter; two grandsons, Brandon and Tyler Slaughter; a nephew, Eric Slaughter; a cousin, Spencer Linder Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; dear friends, Reggie King and Jocelyn Nash; and several special childhood friends.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Brother Joe Wynn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aucilla Christian Academy or to a charity of your choice. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
