    Larry Thomas Parker Sr.

    Larry Thomas Parker Sr., 76, passed away on Jan. 18, 2023, at his residence in Perry. He was born June 30, 1946, in Perry to James Clayton Parker and Ave Lee Morgan Parker. Larry was Baptist and worked as an operator with Procter & Gamble for more than 43 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and anything outdoors. He loved genealogy. Larry was a member of the Perry #123 Masonic Lodge, where he served as a Past Master and was serving as Master of Day Lodge this year. He was also a member of Marzuq Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite in Tallahassee. Larry was preceded in death by: his parents, James Clayton Parker and Ave Lee Morgan Parker; his wife of 53 years, JoAnn Parker; daughter, Emily Diane Parker Lundy; and his sister. Martha Hockaday. Larry is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Morgan and Melinda Sheffield; his son, Larry Parker Jr.; four brothers, Willie, Wayne Gilbert and Jimmy Parker; two sisters, Glenda Thomas and JoAnn Wilder; nine grandchildren, Trey, Elizabeth, Catherine, Natalie, Hannah, Joseph, Travis, Hayden and Hayley; and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 4 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery with Brother Dennis Nobles officiating, with Masonic services to follow.
