    Charles Haywood King

    Charles Haywood King, 84, of Thomasville, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at Camellia Gardens of Life Care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Jason Keyton officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, from 6-8 p.m. at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: John Clark, Oren King, Jesse King, Luke King, Taff Goodin, Bailey King and Harrison Keyton. Charles was born in Perry on Dec. 17, 1938, to the late William Haywood King and Annie Belle Page King. He married Judy A. Thurman King on May 21, 2010, in Thomasville, who survives. He was a graduate of Taylor County High School. He worked as a cattleman for many years and was the owner of Cleaning Connection, Inc. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his children, Charles W. King (Mary Ellen) of Thomasville, Ga., Shawn King (Robbie) of Clover, S.C., Matthew King (Brooke) of Thomasville, Ga., and Holly Keyton (Jason) of Thomasville, G.; bonus daughters, Lonnie Hignight (Grant) of Thomasville, Ga., and Kelly Snyder (Randy) of Abbeville, S.C.; 15 grandchildren; 21 greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Annette Grantham and Peggy Allen, both of Perry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his first wife, Judith L. King; a son, Chance King; sister, Eloise Navarro (Russell); and a brother, Ronnie King.
