Brynes volunteers to serve as city manager, Brown to stay on 1 month

After hearing several proposals suggested by Councilman Bill Brynes that would be in violation of state law and the city charter – including a suggestion that he serve as city manager himself on a volunteer basis – the Perry City Council has agreed to allow current City Manager Taylor Brown to push back his resignation date and remain in the position while using up one month of accumulated leave time.
