Regina Diane Potter

Regina Diane Potter, 66, passed away on Jan. 25, 2023, in Perry.

She was born Aug. 5, 1956, in Miami to Henry Monts De Oca and Barbara Sue Hester Lathan.

Mrs. Potter was of the Christian faith. Diane became a nursing assistant and worked with Calderwood Nursing Home in Homestead.

She moved to Perry in 2020 to be closer to her children and grandchildren, and cherished the times spent together for birthday parties, Thanksgivings and Christmases.

In her spare time she enjoyed going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren and her cats and dog.

Diane was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry Monts De Oca and Barbara Sue Hester Lathan; her life partner, Rick Parsons, and brother, Robert “Bobby” Lathan.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judy (Dustin) Hammock, Sandra (Freddy) Cash and Heather Potter; her son, JR Potter; her sisters, Cheryl Hicks, Frankie Sue Prescott Turner and Debra Sue Lathan; her brothers, Louis Lathan and Ronnie De Oca; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 4 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
