Mother of 2 killed in crash

A local family is grappling with the loss of a mother of two young children whose life was cut tragically short in a fatal car crash here late Monday evening, Nov. 18.
Casey D. Bergman of Perry was pronounced dead at the scene some two miles west on U.S. Highway 98, just past Deal’s Oyster House. The driver of the other vehicle in the crash, William Shane Murphy, 44, also of Perry, sustained minor injuries.
Bergman was 27; she would have celebrated her 28th birthday Thursday, Nov. 21.
