The Perry Rotary Club recently announced that it will celebrate its 100th anniversary by undertaking the renovation of the cook shed at Forest Capital Park, home to numerous community events throughout the year. The Taylor County Tourism Development Council has pledged $25,000 toward the project, which is already underway. Above, the existing serving area has already been demolished, making way for new facilities. In 2005, the local Rotary club spearheaded fund-raising efforts to construct the bandstand at the park, shown above far left.
The Perry Rotary Club will celebrate its 100th anniversary this May, and in recognition of the milestone, the club has announced its centennial service project for the community.
