County receives additional $1.8 million for Slaughter Rd.; project moves ahead

The county’s much-delayed project to widen and resurface Slaughter Road is finally back on track — with crews potentially on site to begin work in a matter of weeks — after the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) provided an additional $1.8 million in state funding, which is more than double the amount needed to plug the gap.
