Thick smoke from a 245-acre wildfire near Spring Warrior caused the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office to temporarily restrict traffic on Puckett Road Sunday as firefighting crews worked to contain the blaze. Although the fire destroyed two camper trailers and an unoccupied mobile home, Florida Forest Service (FFS) Perry District Manager Eric Black said the quick response of firefighter tractor crews from FFS and Four Rivers Land & Timber Company helped save one residential home, along with numerous structures owned by Asymmetric Solutions.
