Carol Bonita Holden, 78, passed away at her residence on Feb. 25, 2023, in Perry. Bonnie was born June 8, 1944, in Perry to William Dewey Hunter and Eva Ruth Godwin Hunter. She was a Christian and enjoyed her Sunday mornings watching Dr. David Jeremiah while drinking a cup of coffee. She found great comfort and encouragement in her faith. Bonnie retired from RDS as an administrative assistant after working there 20-plus years. She loved her family, friends and, especially, her grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by: her parents, William Dewey Hunter and Eva Ruth Godwin Hunter; her three brothers, William (WD) Hunter, Wayne Hunter and Clyde Hunter; her two sisters, Janice Johnson and Patsy Padgett; and a nephew, Glenn Padgett. Bonnie is survived by: her two daughters, Janet Lukens and Karen and her husband, Al Hendry; her son, Mike and his wife, Amy McMullen Dobson; nine grandchildren, Laurel and her husband, Ben LaValle, Garrett Hendry, Kasey Lukens, Kelly Lukens and Trey and his wife, Robin Lukens, Christen, Bethany, Michael and Amanda Dobson; and seven great-grandchildren, Ameila, Fiona, Leyton, Charlie, Cayden, Tayven and Lowyn; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother David McMullen officiating.
