    Patricia Jewel Brown

    Posted on March 10, 2023

Jewel ran to the arms of our Lord on the morning of March 6, 2023. Patricia “Jewel” Brown was born in Tallahassee to Randy and Jennifer Brown on June 26, 2008, and later became a big sister to Faith. Her older siblings include Caitlin Ridings and husband Cody of Perry, Austin Brown and fiancé Ashlyn Golden of Perry, and Chelsea Brown of Live Oak. Jewel’s grandparents are Johnny Fred Brown, Sr. of Dowling Park, Miriam Smith of Perry, and Earnie and Pattie Eakins of Perry. She also has sweet nephews, Colson and Malakai Ridings and uncles, aunts, and cousins to cherish her sweet, shining memories.

Jewel had many friends that loved her dearly and she returned the love with smiles, laughter or a quiet understanding that sometimes they just needed a pat on-the-back with an, “it’s okay”. She truly loved school and wanted to go to spend time with her friends and teachers in the Rowell-Howell Gang. Her family and friends are saddened by her quick departure; however, rejoice in her heavenly celebration and the memories she has etched into our hearts. Jewel was truly a gem and shined so brightly that her mere presence made all family and friends smile and laugh. Her favorites have become our favorites; her expressions have become our expressions; her mottos have become our mottos. We will treasure the memories of her fishing to catch the biggest red belly (at least bigger than yours), pointing toward McDonald’s saying, “to the French fries”, and dancing while blowing bubbles like no one is watching. Jewel was exceptional at making you feel special every time she would see you with a shrill, cackle and big hug, announcing your arrival at any event. Her eyes sparkled like sapphires and diamonds, especially when she was happy and showing off her dance moves.

Jewel’s family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 11:00 for visitation and a service at noon at Burns Funeral Home. Her body’s final resting place will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Perry, Florida. Flowers are welcome; however, donations are also appreciated to help the family cover funeral expenses.
