AARP’s annual Tax-Aide program remains open, providing free tax services through Monday, April 10.
Volunteers will be stationed at Forest Capital Hall the following dates and times:
• Saturday, March 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, March 13: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Saturday, March 18: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, March 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, March 27, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Monday, April 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Saturday, April 8, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, April 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
AARP Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service, preparing tax returns and answering questions free of charge.
The program mission is to provide high-quality, free income tax assistance and tax form preparation to middle-to-moderate-income taxpayer, with special attention to those age 60 and older.
AARP Tax-Aide offers free electronic filing at most sites nationwide using IRS provided tax preparation software. Each counselor has to be certified by the IRS each year. It is a program of the AARP Foundation and is offered in conjunction with the IRS.
