Deadline for short story contest is April 6

The deadline for entries in the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library’s 17th annual Short Story Contest is Thursday, April 6.

Categories include: youth (fifth graders and below); students (sixth-12th graders); and adult.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each category: first place, $100; second place, $50; and honorable mention, $10.

The entry fee is $5 per story. Winners will be announced Friday, May 26.
