Arthur Deal Worley Sr., 72, passed away on March 19, 2023, in Tallahassee.
He was born Nov. 24, 1950, in Greenville to Alec C. Worley and Jewel Grantham Worley.
Arthur honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era.
He was a Baptist and was an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Arthur was a service tech for Texgas/Suburban; he then became an entrepreneur roofer, building new homes and re-construction, as well as installing air conditioners.
He loved to farm and started his own produce market, Worley’s Produce.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Most of all he loved his family, and cherished the times he could spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arthur was preceded in death by: his parents. Alec and Jewel Worley; his brothers, A.C., Jesse and Frank Worley; and his sisters, Joyce Copeland and Linda Joy Worley.
Mr. Worley is survived by: his wife of 51 years, Daphne Worley; his children, Melissa (Randy) McCamman, Arthur (Tami) Worley Jr. and Angela (Jody) Hay; eight grandchildren, Miranda, Michael, Katelyn, Alex, Dakota, Carrie, Genesis and Anna; three great-grandchildren, Emilie, Raymond and Cavvy; and his sisters, Shirley Lundy, Theresa Kuhn, Mildred Kelly and Lilly Carter; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 22, at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Brothe Danny Lundy officiating. Interment services followed in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
