Travis Stephen Smith

Travis Stephen Smith, 33, passed away on April 5, 2023, in Perry.

He was born Jan. 22, 1990, in Tallahassee to Stephen William Smith and Kristina Hatcher Smith.

Travis was a welder by trade, receiving his certification from Big Bend Technical College.

He enjoyed the outdoors, riding in the woods, hunting and fishing, and liked going to the beach.

Travis was a big Florida State Seminole fan. Those who knew Travis know of his fun spirit of being the “Comedian,” always joking around with his family and friends.

He was a loving father that loved to spend time with his children.

Travis was preceded in death by his grandpa, Jack Smith, and his great-grandma, Mearl Knight.

He is survived by: his two daughters, Trista and Emma Smith; his mother, Kristina Hatcher Smith; his dad, Steve (Donna) Smith; his brother, Logan (Holly) Smith; his sisters, Jessica (Eddie) Gonzalez, Brittany Holmes and Kaitlyn Holmes; maternal grandparents, George and Margaret Hatcher; and paternal grandparents, Lester and Carol Terry; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

A celebration of Travis’ life was held on Saturday, April 8, at 3 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
