Rebecca Rose Poppell
Rebecca Rose Poppell went to be with the Lord and her husband on April 24, 2023 around 12:35 a.m.
She was of the Christian faith and a member of Perry First Church of God.
She left behind: two sons, Randel Larmie Poppell and his wife, Amanda, and Richard Wyatt Poppell and his wife, Paige; six grandchildren, Sebastian, Mason, Kennady, Cailee, Blake and Emma; four brothers, Rex, Roy, Ronny and Rodney Mills; one twin sister, Roxy Flanders; one brother in-law, Ronnie Poppell; one sister in-law, Brenda Hyman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was the owner of Randel’s Landclearing until it closed.
She enjoyed the woods and water, anything to do with nature.
In her younger days she was a skiptender in the uranium mines; she was also a wrecker operator, truck driver and an equipment operator. She was a licensed underground utility contractor and forgot more about auto parts than most people will know.
Rebecca was preceded in death by: her husband of 48 years, Randel F. Poppell; her parents, D. S. and Carline Ruth Mills; her younger sister, Nancy Carline Mills; and her brother, Robert Dale Mills.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at Perry First Church of God with Pastor Mike Burke and Pastor Jordan Smith officiating. Interment services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 27, from 6-8 p.m. At Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
