City opts to pursue water plant upgrade

After briefly considering abandoning the project – and a $3.28 million grant/loan that would help fund it — the City of Perry will apparently forge ahead with a nearly $4 million water treatment facility upgrade designed to improve drinking water quality by installing new carbon filters at City Water Plant #2.
