A benefit gala for animal advocacy groups “A Hound to Hold” and “PAWS (Pets Are Worth Spaying) of Steinhatchee” will be held Friday, May 12, at the Steinhatchee Landing Club & Chapel.

Tickets are $75 per person and includes dinner and two drink tickets.

“Join us for a Polynesian-inspired gala with roasted pig, plantains, black beans and rice and pineapple upside down cake. Hula dancers will fill the stage. Make sure you wear your best Hawaiian-themed outfits,” organizers said.

A silent auction will be held in the Magnolia room to further benefitthe two non-profit organizations.

A Hound to Hold, is a local non-profit that benefits abandoned animals by getting them the care they need whether it be medical, shelter and food.

PAWS has greatly impacted the Steinhatchee community by offsetting the cost to have stray cats and dogs neutered/spayed.
