Kimberly Jo Hurlock

Kimberly Jo Hurlock, 51, passed away on May 7, 2023.

Kim was born Dec. 31, 1971, in Perry to Fred Carlton Roberts Sr. and Janice Burt Roberts.

She graduated from Taylor County High School in 1989 and later attended Central Georgia Technical College, where she graduated with an associate’s degree in information technology.

She then attended Mercer University, earning a bachelor’s degree in information science and technology, with a minor in photography, in 2012.

She loved singing, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed photography, and loving on her nieces and nephews.

Her granddaughter, Haley Hurlock, held a very special place in her heart.

Kim was preceded in death by: her father, Fred Carlton Roberts Sr.; her sisters, Cynthia Denise Green and Patricia Kay Roberts; and her sister-in-law, Ruth “Yogi” Roxanne Roberts.

She is survived by: her mother, Janice Roberts; her brothers, Fred Carlton Roberts Jr. and Rodney Burt Roberts; her sister, Debra Sue Freeman (Jay); one daughter, Melanie Hurlock (Eddie); and granddaughter, Haley Hurlock; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 11, at 10 a.m. at Carlton Cemetery with Brother Donnie Shinholser officiating.
