Adriana “Mickey” Nyberg, 84, has taken her final flight and landed in the great beyond on April 30, 2023, in Chiefland.
She was born on June 3, 1938, in sunny Miami to Freida and Richard Morales.
Adriana was a true trailblazer of her time, a real daredevil who lived a life of adventure and excitement. She was a proud member of the Red Hats Club and a certified Master Gardener.
Adriana was a pilot, a scuba diver and a sharpshooter. She could make anything grow and anything fly!
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Welch, and her parents, Freida and Richard Morales.
She is survived by: her loving husband of 35 years, Don Nyberg; her daughters, Jackie Welch Ecklund and Theresa Welch Morin; her son, John Welch; seven amazing grandchildren; and eight awesome great-grandchildren.
Adriana was a payroll pro and a number-crunching queen. She worked as the director of payroll at the University of Alaska (Fairbanks) and as an accountant at Big State Logistics in Fairbanks, Alaska.
In her free time, Adriana loved to soar through the skies, shoot the breeze and dive into the deep blue sea. She was a Master Gardener who could make anything grow, and she had a green thumb to prove it.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, but for now, let’s remember Adriana’s life with a smile and a chuckle.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice or PAWS of Steinhatchee.
Adriana would be thrilled to know she’s still making a difference!
