John McClane is back for a fifth time in “A Good Day to Die Hard,” which moves the action to Russia and teams the veteran cop with his son (Jai Courtney, “Jack Reacher”).
Sequels always try to amp up the action, and this one is no exception, although by altogether leaving the planet of the plausibility (when it comes to the amount of punishment the human body can withstand), it loses much of the tension and keeps the audience from connecting.
The movie is rated R for violence and language.
