Willie J. Oliver Sr.

Willie J. Oliver Sr., 71, died on June 22, 2023, in Tallahassee at Big Bend Hospice. He was born on July 25, 1951, in Perry to Floyd and Louise Oliver. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Oliver is survived by: his wife, Anna Gail Oliver; his son, Willie J. Oliver Jr.; daughter, Alexxa Marie Oliver; grandchildren Joshua Kenneth Oliver, Jasmine Chloe Oliver, Jean’na Alexa Oliver, Jayda Jah’mariah Oliver, Willie J. (Joe) Oliver III and Jalen Ezekiel Oliver; and siblings, Betty Louise Oliver, James Lewis Oliver, Fred Anderson Oliver, Troy Nathaniel Oliver, Spencer Dewayne Oliver, Maggie Jean Engram, Julie Marie Oliver, Rhonda Oliver, Vonda Oliver and Tracie Oliver; nephew/adopted son, Immuri Bakari Lang; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 6, at 11 a.m., at Mt. Oliver MB Church. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 5, from 5-6 p.m., at Trinity Funeral Home. Interment will be held Friday, July 7, at noon, at Tallahassee National Cemetery in Tallahassee.
