    Charles F. Mincy

    Mr. Charles F. Mincy, 87, passed away suddenly at home on July 5, 2023. He was born May 28, 1936, to Frank and Juanita Mincy. Charles was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Jimmy Mincy (Nan); and his sisters, Beatrice Samorosky (Al), Josephine Hudgens (Ronnie) and Teresa Jeffries (Carl). He is survived by: the love of his life of 69 years, Marie Padgett Mincy; two children, Chuck Mincy (Annaliese) and Kim Hurtado (Keith); his grandson, Taylor Lee (Marisa); and granddaughters, Rainslee Knight (Jess) and Fallon Mincy. Charles worked in the construction business and built many homes in Perry. He co-founded Cashway Building Products and Cashway Construction. He was a volunteer firefighter who served Taylor County for 55 plus years. He was conservationist who loved the outdoors and, most especially, fishing his beloved fishing spots in the Econfina River. He never forgot where he came from and those who helped him along the way and was always willing to pay it forward and help others. Go rest on that mountain, your work on earth is done!
