Updated comprehensive plan allows ‘more flexibility’ for property owners

The Taylor County Commission recently approved a lengthy amendment to the county’s comprehensive plan, updating the land development codes to take into account new state law as well as tweaking elements of previously approved amendments for Foley Timber and Land Co. and the proposed Sweetwater Resort.

The commission first approved the amendment in January, transmitting it to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for review.
