Charles “Charlie” Richard Deal

Charles “Charlie” Richard Deal, 64, passed away on Aug. 4, 2023, in Perry. He was born Jan. 19, 1959, in Perry to Morris N. Deal and Martha A. Walters Deal. Charlie loved going fishing and riding in the woods. He would take care of any animal, especially cats. He enjoyed quick family gatherings. Charlie was of the Methodist faith. He worked as a truck driver for many years and thoroughly enjoyed talking on the CB radio to communicate with his friends. Charlie was preceded in death by: his infant son, Charles Richard Deal Jr.; his companion, Rhonda Eastman; his parents, Morris N. and Martha A. Deal; his siblings, Ann Deal, Juanita Deal Cassidy, Lynnette Deal Ratliff and Joseph Lamar Deal. Mr. Deal is survived by: his brother, Jim Deal and his wife, Myong; his daughter, Marti Lee and her husband, Buddy; his grandchildren, Bryer, Haleigh, Sydnee and Mace; five great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Connie Gibson. A memorial reception will be held at Calvary Baptist Fellowship Hall in Perry on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 5 p.m All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
