Christina ‘Chris’ Liles Brown

Christina “Chris” Liles Brown, 58, passed away on Aug. 10, 2023.

Chris was born March 2, 1965, in Gainesville to Wilford and Lucy Liles Sr. of Cross City.

She lived most of her life in Cross City, before moving to Perry about 14 years ago.

She worked for many years at Martin Electronics and Wal-Mart in Perry.

Chris was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Wilford Liles Jr.; and two nephews, Michael Pinner and David Pinner.

She is survived by: her husband, Gordon Brown; two sons, Derrick Sickler and Anthony Rose of Perry; four brothers, Bobby (Linda) Liles, James Liles and Wayne Liles of Cross City, and Jody (Charlene) Liles of Alabama; five sisters, Rosemary (Cecil) Pinner, Lucille Sheets and Barbara (Stacey) O’Steen of Cross City, Martha (Keith) Anderson and Ethel (David) Hicks of Perry; two grandchildren, Auna and Serenity Sickler of Perry; one stepson, Billy Brown of Michigan; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 3 p.m. At Rick GoodingFuneral Home in Cross City with the Rev. Cecil Pinner and the Rev. Wayne Liles officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service, from 2-3 p.m.

The family extends special thanks to all of Chris’ caregivers.
