Planning meeting Aug. 31 for Rock & Roll Christmas

The countdown has officially started! We are 98 days away from the annual Christmas on the Square in historic downtown Perry coordinated by the Taylor County Historical Society.

The theme this year will be “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree – a Rock & Roll Christmas.”

The festivities will be held Friday, Dec. 1, in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce’s lighted Christmas Parade.

There will be arts and craft vendors, food vendors, visits with Santa and much more.

Volunteers will hold a planning meeting on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 5:30 p.m. at the historical society. Anyone interested in helping with the celebration is welcome, and local businesses owners are especially encouraged to attend.
