Terry Lorraine Koon

Terry Lorraine Koon, 61, passed away on Sept. 3, 2023, in Tallahassee. She was born Oct. 11, 1961, in South Carolina to Joseph Lester Koon and Kathleen Galloway Koon. Terry was a longtime CNA, doing what she was called to do, loving and caring for others. Those who knew her, know how hard this past year has been, since the sudden loss of her son, Josh. Praise God, they are reunited now for eternity, which is where she wanted to be Terry is survived by: her daughter, Whitney Koon; granddaughter, Iris Romero; dear friends that became family, Aucilla Slaughter, Wendy Slaughter and Margie Sheffield; her brothers, Leon Koon, Ronnie Koon and William Koon; and sister, Wanda Koon; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. in Mt. Horeb Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in High Springs.
