Brenda Rena Shaw

Brenda Rena Shaw, 83, passed away on Sept. 10, 2023, in Tallahassee. She was born May 8, 1940, in Perry to Melber Denmark and Mavis Blue Denmark. Brenda thoroughly enjoyed reading and making her house a home. Mrs. Shaw was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Family Worship Center. She loved the local beaches, where she could enjoy the salt air and the sounds of the waves. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading the Bible and books about heaven, shopping, dining out and listening to gospel music. Brenda was preceded in death by: her parents, Melber Denmark and Mavis Blue Denmark; her brother, Terry Denmark; and her sister, Wynona Jones. Mrs. Shaw is survived by: her husband of 64 years, Philip “Wayne” Shaw; her children, Debbie Shaw Anderson and Larry Wayne Shaw; her grandchildren, Jana Kishishita and Claye Anderson; and greatgrandchildren, Andy, Caroline, Charlie and Jacob Anderson, and Shaw and Arie Kishishita; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, at Family Worship Center at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Sauls officiating. Interment services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
