Local author sees national & international book launch

Back in the late 1980s, Anthony White was working on a screenplay about two teen brothers and a shared love. Upon the advice of an agent, however, he aged the characters into adults and converted the screenplay into a novel.

Then in 2008, he self-published the novel, called “Our First Love,” under his pen-name Anthony Lamarr. But a family tragedy only weeks after its release put the book back on the shelf.

Now, five years later, publisher Simon and Schuster has released “Our First Love,” which arrived at bookstores and retailers across the country and international markets Tuesday.
