Timber prices in ‘free fall’

The devastation to Taylor County’s timberlands left behind by Hurricane Idalia, combined with last week’s announcement of the impending closure of Georgia Pacific’s (GP) Foley Cellulose mill, is already having a detrimental effect on the price of local lumber.
