William “Bill” Alexander

On Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, William “Bill” Alexander, 86, of Perry was called to his heavenly home. William, who was born on Jan. 28, 1937, to the late AD Alexander and the late Willie Mae Hooks, leaves behind his wife, Jessie Alexander; his children, William Jeffery Alexander (Virginia), Jacqueline Flowers (Wayne), Michael Alexander, Gloria Threats, Delois Clayton, Lorraine Melebeck (Roy), William Edmond (Anna) and Felicia Lomax (Deryl); two sisters, Mary Phillips and Nettie Eaton (Amos); sister-inlaw, Mary Lee Williams; grandchildren, greatgrands, and a host of other family members. Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m. at New Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church, followed by interment at Springhill Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 29, from 4-6 p.m. at Evans Walker Funeral Home.
