Hatchee Haunts

Mark your calendars! Steinhatchee is planning a series of “Hatchee Haunts” events in October.

A Haunted House and Carnival, along with food trucks serving up tasty treats, will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, from 6-10 p.m. at Dixie-Taylor Recreation Activities Center (DTRAC) and Jena Park/Jena Tech on CR-358 near Casey’s Cove.

The fun will continue at the same location the next day (Saturday, Oct. 28) from 4-10 p.m. with a haunted house, carnival games, a costume contest, “Spooky Bake-Off,” cake walk and food trucks.

A Haunted House and “Trunk or Treat” is set for Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7-10 p.m. at DTRAC Park, Jena Park and the Jena Library.

The Steinhatchee Stingrays Recreation Association is seeking volunteers to help organize and decorate for these Hatchee Haunts events. If you are interested in helping, please “Like” and follow the Steinhatchee Stingrays Recreation Association (SSRA) Facebook page for more information.
