County waives fee for in-town shuttle through Dec. 31

In a showing of holiday spirit, the Taylor County Commission unanimously agreed this week to waive the 50-cent fee for those riding the in-town shuttle through the end of the year.

County Grants Coordinator Melody Cox, who helps administer the program, requested the commission consider the proposal during their meeting Tuesday evening, stating the move will cost the county no more than $200. The commissioners quickly approved the request.
