County wants new public safety complex

Citing overcrowding at the Taylor County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during Hurricane Idalia, county officials are considering requesting more than $10 million from the Florida Legislature to fund construction of a new public safety complex, which would also potentially house the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) and Taylor County Fire- Rescue (TCFR) Station #1.
