    Reginald ‘Reggie’ Alan Frith

    Reginald “Reggie” Alan Frith, 73, left his earthly home in Perry on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023.

    Reggie was born in Perry to D.L Frith Jr. and Violet Deshazo Frith on Nov. 1, 1949.

    He is survived by: his granddaughter, Savannah Coxwell, and sisters, Tina Murphy (Buddy) of Perry and Barbara Hampton of Tallahassee; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Reggie was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Cil; and his daughter, Susan.

    He was a Baptist and always enjoyed worshiping at New Home Baptist Church when he was able. he was always talking about the good people there and how they had ministered to him.

    Reggie served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the peacetime and Vietnam era. He served from Oct. 24, 1960, to Feb. 19, 1974, and from July 26, 1977, to Sept, 5, 1980.

    During his enlistments he received the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal (3 campaigns); 3O/S Bars; Good Conduct Medal; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm (Unit); Bronze Star Medal; and Meritorious Unit Commendation.

    He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing as often as his health allowed. When he couldn’t participate, he still wanted to drive his old truck and ride in the woods.

    There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Dustin Logan officiating.
