He was born April 2, 193.
Military services will be held at Ft. Custer Cemetery in Battle Creek, Mich., at a later date.
Howard Lionel Watson
Howard Lionel Watson, 78, passed away on Oct. 16, 2023, at his residence after an extended illness. Lionel was born April 1, 1945, in Holmes County, Fla., to Howard Watson and Lois Heath Watson.
He was a Baptist and attended Antioch Revival Center.
He worked as a commercial fisherman, and a carpenter for the last years of his life; he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Lionel was preceded in death by: his parents, Howard Watson and Lois Heath Watson; stepdad, Jr. Craft; his brother, Donnie Craft; and sister, Sylvia.
Lionel is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Edith Watson; his two sons, Cricket Watson and wife, Michelle, and Mitchell and Brandie Hill; his daughter, Sylvia “Tooter” Watson; two brothers, Ernie Craft, and Jimmy Craft; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Revival Center with Brother Cricket Watson officiating. Interment services will follow in Grace Farm Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m., at the church.
