Edward “Duke” Earl Shiver Jr., 50, passed away on Oct. 17, 2023 in Tallahassee.
Duke was born Nov. 9, 1972, in Perry to Edward Earl Shiver Sr. and Nora Page Shiver.
He loved to deer hunt and spend time with his family and friends.
Duke was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Earl Shiver and Louise Shiver, and Ralph Page and Glorene Page.
He is survived by: his parents, Edward and Nora Shiver; his wife, Tammy Blair; six children, Alaina Shiver and Hunter Shiver, Samantha Lundy, JD Lundy, Andrea Lundy (Matt) and Devin Urbanski (Sadiee); 12 grandchildren, Erica, Aleah, Waukeenah, Ryder, BB, Jordan, Charli, Macy, Trista, Emma, Kharter and Emmett; two sisters, Amy Shiver and Melissa De La Cruz (Rosaen); and nieces and nephews, Zack, John and Lila, Ian, Shane (Heaven), Trenton and Elliot.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with the Rev. Billy Gipson officiating. Interment services will follow at Rocky Ford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.
