Ann Moody Taylor, 94, of Perry passed away on Oct. 5, 2023.
She was born June 03, 1929, in Scanlon, Taylor County, to Rufus and Janie Williams Moody.
Ann was married to Roy Eugene Taylor for 59 years, and they were the parents of Nancy and her husband, Tom Geohagan, Ruth (deceased) and her husband, Craig Harvey, Karen Southern and Roy Eugene Taylor Jr. and his wife, Carrie.
She was blessed with four grandchildren, Laurie Lilliott (Hud), Hope Webb (Josh), Gena English and Cory Taylor (Chelsea); seven great-grandchildren; bonus grandchildren; and a slew of other family members.
Ann dearly loved her brothers, James “Sonny” Rufus Moody and Joey Moody. Many stories exist of their times at the “Big House” in Shady Grove, where it was not unusual to have as many as 17 to 20 living under one roof, especially during the Great Depression.
A brief gathering will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 at 4 p.m. At Lake Bird Cemetery. “Come just as you are.”
In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to her favorite charity, the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch in Live Oak.
