Steinhatchee to hold Festival of Trees Dec. 21-24

Steinhatchee is celebrating the season with a “Festival of Trees” at the community center Saturday, Dec. 21, through Tuesday, Dec. 24.

The community is encouraged to come see the uniquely decorated trees by local sponsors at the center and revisit the outdoor decorations as well on Saturday from 1-8 p.m. and Monday through Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.

The event is free to the public and includes hot cocoa and a cookie. Guests will be able to vote for their favorite tree by putting pennies, dimes, quarters or more into the Christmas present under the tree. All proceeds go to help cover the cost of Steinhatchee’s November Kids Fishing Clinic in 2014.
