More than 75 local, state and regional employers packed Forest Capital Hall and even spilled outside on Wednesday, offering job opportunities to hundreds of local workers during a “Career and Resource Fair” held here from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. A steady stream of locals were able to meet with, network and gather information from prospective employers offering up hundreds of job opportunities, as well as access to hurricane recovery resources. The Taylor County Chamber of Commerce, CareerSource North Florida, Duke Energy, FloridaCommerce and other state agency partners were onsite to assist residents impacted by Hurricane Idalia and offer career opportunities for those affected by the permanent closure of the Georgia-Pacific Perry mill.
