Cheryl Darlene Nix

Cheryl Darlene Nix, 69, passed away on Oct. 20, 2023, in Taylor County. She was born June 18, 1954, in Perry to Jessie Willard Sadler and Mildred Roberts Sadler. Cheryl was a Baptist and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved the outdoors, crocheting and gardening and, especially, she loved to shop! She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jessie Willard Sadler and Mildred Roberts Sadler; her three brothers, Willard, Buddy and Charles Sadler; and her two sisters, Norma Jean Stone and Janie Bowden. Cheryl is survived by: her husband of 50 years, Glenn Nix; her daughter, Marcy and her husband, Michael Freeman, her son, Jeremy and his wife, Dara Nix; her sister, LexAnn and her husband, Robbie Patterson; and two grandchildren, Justin and his wife, Danielle Folsom and Tanner Nix; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother James Nowell and Brother Keith Parker officiating. Interment services will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
