With Taylor County receiving a lot of attention from state leaders in the wake of Hurricane Idalia and the closure of Georgia-Pacific’s Foley Cellulose mill, county officials are attempting to capitalize on the moment by asking for more than $25.7 million in funding for local projects from the Florida Legislature this year.
