Robert Dean Cardwell

Robert Dean Cardwell, 64, passed away on Oct. 29, 2023, in Perry.

He was born on April 29, 1959, in Monticello, the son of Dixon P. and Lucy (Hartsfield) Hughes Jr.

Robert was a member of both Friendship Baptist Church and Three Rivers Hunting Club in Perry. He loved hunting, fishing, supervising and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by: wife, Sherry; children, Connie Cardwell of Perry and Randall (Brittany) Cardwell, of Perry; grandchildren, Josh, Hunter, Kaleb, Annabelle, Kaitlyn and Robert, all of Perry; siblings, Janie (Bruce) Johnson of Sopchoppy, Louise (Hubert) Chipman of Carrabelle, Dixon (Candy) Hughes of Monticello and Cricket (Glenn) Whaley of Monticello.

Bobby’s family would like to give special thanks to Big Bend Hospice. Their care and compassion were a blessing to all.

A graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Walker Cemetery in Lamont. Beggs Funeral Home of Monticello is honored to have served the family.
