A father’s letters from World War II

“I haven’t had a letter in so long I don’t know how it would feel.”

These were the words written by my father, Harold Hill, to his sister Berta Johnson, 78 years ago on May 20, 1945, from Okinawa in the Ryukyu Island Chain.
