    Ann F. Cannon

    Ann F. Cannon, 88, passed away on Nov. 16, 2023, at her home in Perry. She was born May 5, 1935, in Leon County to Steven Enoch Coggins and Cornelia Gay Coggins. Mrs. Cannon was a Baptist and attended Friendship Baptist Church. Ann was a school bus driver for the Taylor County School System for 29 years. She was a proud Native American, and was chief of the Muskogee Creek Indian Bird Tribe of Taylor County. She was also affiliated with Lady Elks and Women of the Moose. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books and crocheting. Her children can testify that she was the fastest “crocheter” on planet earth. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Cornelia Coggins, and her brother, Steven Enoch Coggins Jr. Mrs. Cannon is survived by: her husband of 52 years, Earl Cannon; her children, Gary Wayne Crosby, Robin Andre (Sandra) Crosby and Tina Louise (Reggie) Wentworth; her sisters-in-law, Doris Moffitt, Rachel Barrs Walker and Pat Coggins; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Dustin Logan officiating. Interment services will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Those who wish may make donation to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in her honor.
